1980-1990
Electro company was founded in Thessaloniki (North Greece) by Petros Sapountzis, in 1980. Its main activity was the representation of the Finish company Stromberg and later on the companies Ensto, Nokian capacitors, Idman, Rafi and Squarre D.
1990-2000
Electro increased the range of products it sold and the number of companies it represented by: Vacon, Idec, Izumi, FF-Automation, Areal Scada.
2000-2010
Nick Sapountzis undertook the technical management of Electro. He is specialist in power electronics and in customer service with right, quick and efficient SOLUTIONS for every application. Electro facilities moved to the industrial area of Thermi, Thessaloniki.
From now on Electro sells not only products but After Sales Service and SOLUTIONS suitable for every problem.
Nick Sapountzis established the exclusive Vacon Service Center for Greece, Cyprus and Bulgary.
Electro started collaboration with the international contractor company METKA in PPC project DMAOR97, one of the biggest projects in lignite mines in Europe.
Electro entered into the area of paper and water treatment installation.
2010-2013
Electro set the beginning of a successful collaboration with AHK Cyprus concerning the energy sector and with shipping companies in Greece and Cyprus for service and maintenance.
